Description: Project Name: OPGT Public Trustee Information System Replacement
Scope: The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee is committed to the provision of high-quality services to Albertans. Activities performed enable the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee to provide services, tools and supports for personal and financial matters to vulnerable Albertans and their families. Information regarding the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee can be found by visiting https://www.alberta.ca/office-public-guardian-trustee.aspx With its volume of clients and complexity of cases, OPGT’s administration of financial services requires detailed financial and accounting processes. This is accomplished using the current Public Trustee Information System (PTIS). This project focuses on replacing PTIS with a new system being built on Microsoft Dynamics using both CRM and Financial and Operations components.
The project will deliver a modern platform that aligns system design with the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) process architecture to allow for easy integration of new features in future releases, improve business services to meet public trustee client/user needs and create efficiencies for OPGT. The system will provide flexibility to meet future changes to legislation and policy.
