Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (#60870)

About the Job:
Mindwire is currently seeking a Manager Financial Planning & Analysis to work for our valued Non For Profit client.

The position is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
Work Environment – 3 days on-site/week.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains up-to-date and reconciled multi-year budgets for all active grants and revenue sources for an organization-wide view and adjusts files regularly in line with new agreements and clients quarterly and annual budgeting cycles.
• Produces ad-hoc reports and financial analysis when requested and translates information and requirements into meaningful analysis by understanding intended value or decisions the analysis will support, its intended audience and importance and assessing time/effort required for the analysis accordingly.
• Partner across all business functions to successfully develop and lead FP&A projects, driving to a final recommendation/conclusion.
• Produces, conceptualizes, and leads process flows, internal controls, standardized user guidance and organizes and delivers trainings on client’s financial systems for new and existing staff in consultation with other subject matter experts.
• Continually improves and standardizes the use of existing budgeting/financial tools to deliver and communicate insights into business performance.
• Trains new direct reports and staff within Budgeting & Compliance team on client financial systems and processes
• Organizes training for new staff and refresher training for existing staff on subjects related to financial systems/applications
• Ability to hold workshops/meetings with staff
• Works with IT/IM to develop and maintain a strong data strategy that supports future needs for information gathering
• Collaborates closely with IT/IM on financial systems, including user access, licensing, and data security

Requirements and Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CPA CA, CPA CMA or CPA CGA) or equivalent
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Budgeting and Financial Analysis
• Strong analytical skills and sound knowledge of financial procedures
• Experience working with and overseeing technical consultants
• Good judgment in analyzing data and information, and adapting procedures to accommodate new or unusual situations
• Proven time management skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines
• Demonstrated client service orientation and abilities
• Ability to effectively communicate and develop harmonious working relationships with professionals from a variety of disciplines
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Power Query
• Experience with MS Dynamics GP or Dynamics 365, MS PowerBI, DAX and M language, MS Office 365, MS Power Automate, MS SQL Server databases and writing SSRS reports
