BH - Business Analyst (Level 1) – 1 year contract

Duration: 1-year contract (April 2023 to March 2024)
Hours / Day: 7 hours

Location: Remote within Canada (BC / Victoria local preferred)

Project Overview: The successful candidate will assume the role Business Analyst for our Ministry client's agile team that are undertaking multiple, concurrent re-development projects driven by a deadline for retiring BC province mainframe services and modernizing non-mainframe services. 

The Business Analyst - Level 3 is required to have the following skills and experience:
  • 2 years recent relevant experience defining and documenting business requirements for applications and data;
  • 4 years experience interacting professionally with a wide variety of people in diverse roles (e.g. executives, contractors, technical experts, users) to develop and implement automated business processes;
  • 1 year of experience working with front line clients in service delivery-based organizations;
  • 1 year of experience working with an agile team using scrum methodologies;
  • Experience working effectively with non-technical end users as relates to testing, including writing business test cases, conducting functional testing, and supporting UAT;
  • Experience providing business analysis related to integrated custom applications with complex business processes;
  • g.    Ability to lead multi-discipline teams in conducting facilitation towards new requirements;
  • Gathering, development of new business processes, continuous process improvements and appropriate documentation;
  • Creating and delivered training to customers on the items listed in the mandatory sections;
  • Requirements gathering and documentation including business cases, business requirements documents, use cases or process flows diagraming
  • Resolving usability issues and web-based applications.
  • Experience using change management tools such as ADKAR model; and
  • Experience writing release communications
